Hi guys
looking for a new table top in white to go with some ikea legs https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/olov-leg-adjustable-white-10264302/

At the moment I have the Ikea Malm desk below (without the side pullout) but it is hollow style fibre board with paper stuffed inside, its done the job well with a Ultrarm and reinforcement plate with my Samsung G9 57" monitor.
I really need a solid desk (upto 160cm wide due to space) so I can have the monitor as far back as possible as image below. Currently the arm is in the middle due the ikea desk cable tidy under it so can't attach the arm all the way to the left so screen sits around 15cm towards me so would be half that if I could do the below:

Anyone know of any decent white table top, maybe even cut to size?

Cheers

A few years ago I bought this one, to attach to a motorised sit/stand frame I bought. It's the solid type, as opposed to the honeycombed ones!

Thanks mate, looks like it is 2cm in thickness though.
2cm according to the ikea page. I'm not actually at home where the desk is till tomorrow, so I will double check everything and post here tomorrow, as I don't want to make you buy the wrong item!

I've used it with an arm, albeit only 1 x 24inch screen hanging on it, and I have used it with 3 x 24inch on it as well, with normal stands.

Cheers, my ultrarm can fit on it but its just the weight of the Samsung on a 2cm board i'm not sure about lol Worst case might still need to use the reinforcement plate.

I just re-read your post and saw your. monitors size!!! It weighs more than my 65inch OLED TV. I've put 3 x 6.5kg monitors on my desk, but not with an arm! Having said that I have sat on it and used the standing/sitting motor to take it up and down and it never buckled (I'm not that heavy, but I weigh more than double your monitor!).

I guess you need the arm as opposed to the stand, for your use case?

I double checked and I definitely have the Trotten one, and it is 160x80x2cm

Like you said, 3cm would be better due to the heavy monitor and arm, to avoid any expensive accidents!

Cheers mate, yeah might even need a leg in the centre. Might have to pop down the Ikea to look at the above link with the Saeljan and see what the finish is like on it. They can cut it but you need an appointment with a kitchen person etc zzzzz
