White screen crash - Graphics - Bad company 2

The game generally runs fine maxed out, however, after a while I get this screen crash and the screen goes white, although there's still sound just no graphics! Anyone else having this problem? My system is more than capeable!

Here's my spec

Ati Driver - 10.2
Win 7 64
ati 5870
Phenom 955
4gig ram

I've not experienced it myself..but I have read elsewhere about others having the same issue.

Apparently it's not crashed, but something goes wrong with the brightness setting which is why the screen goes completely white.

It was partially resolved by turning the brightness setting to the lowest.

i was getting this the other night on my 5850.
why this happened i dont know but my card was getting overclocked by itself even if i disabled the overdrive with the tickbox.
Only way i could stop this happening was to reinstall the drivers to get the lock back on in the overdrive page.

I use to get it bu i now force the game to dx9 and not had it since game needs a patch or better ati drivers
