I understand that o/c do not sell whitebaords, but does any one have any experience of them?

I am looking to repalce an ol;d (but great) sony projector. I no longer use the projector outside of my office and my thinkign is that the whiteboard would not require a wall/celiing mounted projector. the whitebaord would also be interactive - an added bonus as I am a big fan of m$ OneNote.

i am lookign at the Ebeam Integral 82" Whiteboard, which is cheaper than a projector.

Can anyone tell me if there are any disadvantages to using a whiteboard, is the picture of a high quality?

i have been told that this doesnt require a projector and have been shown the following image (with not black shadow) to support the arguement.

is this an example of someone spinning me a yarn?

The product range is a bit complex when you look at the website. The OP is after the Integral one which is just a screen with the sensor doof attached, the brochure is here. If you look at the images they're clearly projected and the paragraph under the three size options is clear too

This along with its low glare (80 GU) rating
means the Alfher surface always provides a crisp, clear background for
projected images.

The one Limehouse links to is simply an input device, you draw on the whiteboard & it appears on the PC.

They do require a projector. End of. We have about 30 of them fitted at work and they all need projectors and we have a combination of Promethean Boards and SmartBoards :)
