Who are Giganet?

So, in my endless quest to find out if any FTTP providers are ever going to service my location, I've recently discovered that "Giganet", who I'd not previously heard of, are claiming my address is in their rollout plan.

I can't seem to find much info on Giganet but what I have found seems to suggest they're actually CityFibre, or one is using the other's network or something?

CityFibre are in my general vicinity although don't cover me yet and their checker (incorrectly) thinks I'm on a private road.

Anyone know anything more about Giganet?

CityFibre will be the company that install the cables. Giganet will be one of the ISP's you can choose when cables have been installed.

Ah ok so Giganet are just an ISP, not actually laying their own infrastructure?

I literally can't find any information on if/when FTTP will ever get here, so frustrating. Living at the end of a close with direct buried copper cables makes everything so messy & vague.

I had the same issue (direct buried copper line). Fortunately I managed to talk the new altnet in my area to dig my (turfed and a little bit of block paving) front garden up for free.

Laid me some ducting and pulled fibre through. 1Gb up/down symmetrical for £29pm, with first 3 months @ 99p!

Support doesn't seem that great based on it though. Could maybe try contacting other CityFibre ISPs to see if they can install on your road, not sure if you can contact them directly about the private road bug.

My neighbour has them and has had no complaints with her 300mbit plan.

Strangely though, when I put either of our addresses in their checker, it just asks us to register our interest.
