Sort of a poll.

Post in here if you did Maths or Further Maths at A-Level, what grade you got (you don't have to say :p) and did you go on to study a Maths-related degree or get a job involving Maths?

Thanks.

Maths A, Further Maths A - and back when A's meant something too ;)

I went on to study for an MMath at Warwick but was a frankly useless student and bimbled out with a 2:2. I then worked as a programmer (mostly games) for 11 years, did an OU degree in Life Sciences in the last four of those and am now doing a masters in Molecular Genetics.

Why are you interested, OP?

Did maths and further maths at a level back in 2001. Got a's in each. Also did some degree level maths as part of a mixed science degree. I'm a tax adviser now.

I did AS Maths, and sat next to one of my best mates. We just chatted **** the entire time :o

I was on track to get a U, so dropped it.

I went to uni for a year and a half before realising it wasn't for me, then joined the military as a communications trade.

I did a maths A-Level and got a B. I'm still quite proud of that considering I got a C at GCSE. :p

I'm now doing the first year of a computer science degree at Queen Mary, London which I'm doing quite well at.

I did a level maths/engineering maths but unfortunately as I was taught by the military I didn't get any civilian recognised qualifications for it :(
