Who do I pay for my gas?

Just had gas connected and a combi boiler installed.

Thought I'd get a card to top up but no.

I've not arranged my supply from anyone and theres nothing in the meter outside.

Is it like water? A bill one turn up one day?


Can I convert a combi boiler to calor gas?
 
It's the same as electricity (unless you have a pre-pay meter for that). You choose your own supplier. Try a comparison site to get the best deal - although without knowing how much you'll use that won't be very accurate.

I do. I have a key but it's for electric only
 
If you have a meter then it seems you've already chosen a supplier.

Contact your local network company to get connected to the mains.

Network operators own and run the gas pipes and power cables that bring energy to homes and businesses. You can use an independent connections provider for some connections too.

A registered gas engineer or electrician can do some parts of the connection work (called ‘contestable work’). It can help bring down costs, so it’s worth asking for quotations to breakdown connection work into contestable and non-contestable costs. Network companies may need to agree or inspect this work.

You’ll need to choose an energy supplier to get a meter installed. They will also bill you for your usage.

Arrange this at the same time as sorting your connection with the network operator to avoid delays.

Google unregistered gas meter, follow instructions, they basically push you to that find my supplier website above. If you don’t have a meter point reference number, you need to get it registered with Xoserve who deal with that.
 
Always enjoy these Simon0001 "how do i life" threads. I like to imagine that the overclockers forum is the only page available to his computer
