Who do you think would be up there with Hamilton?

If they had a decent car.........

It's pretty obvious that a lot of Hamiltons success comes from his amazing car he has right now. Don't get me wrong, for a rookie he's the best driver out there by far (in the history of F1).

However i always look down the qualifying list and see drivers like Kubica, Heidfeld (yes these two have pretty decent BMW cars under them), but what could they achieve driving with Ferrari or Mclaren? I think the same probably goes with Button, he rarely makes big mistakes, he's a very smooth driver, but really lacks a decent car.

I think we'd be seeing a very different Lewis, a very average rookie Lewis if he had started in a Williams for example.

What do you think? Any other drivers that deserve a decent car? Any that don't?

i personally think lewis would have done well in any car, obviously not heading the championship.

I think Heidfeld is chapionship winning material, Button i think is pants and always has been. Flavio was right to drop him for Alonso many moons ago.

Giancarlo Baghetti, anyone? First, and so far only, driver to win a World Championship race on his debut? Only reason you don't hear more about him is because the cars he drove were never up to scratch after his debut season. His first three GPs, including that World Championship race at Reims, all resulted in wins for him. Good though he is, Hamilton ain't got nothing on that!

Keep trying buddy. You might start upsetting rather than amusing if you really work at it. Oh, and people who write e-mails completely in lower case letters with little or no punctuation tend to get filed under "educationally sub-normal" in my mental notebook. You might want to work on that if your goal is to try and convince me that Lewis Hamilton is, in fact, God.

Whoever it is who is such a rabid Hamilton fan that they have to e-mail me every single time I declare that he is not the greatest F1 driver ever.
