Been doing a bit of ebaying of late and sending some larger packages, it occurred to me that I might be paying over the odds with royal mail as well as queuing up for 30 minutes on some occasions. I guess the size and weight of my goods are around the weight and size of a boxed dvd player just to be random :D

Use Standerd parcels at your local post office - they're not too bad. Though if you want stuff picking up etc., DHL for example will come round and pick stuff up. Though you'll have to somehow weight what you're sending though if you're using the latter method.

Always used Parcelforce here (Royal Mail). Not had any problems with queuing up... although ours get posted from a small village post office, so there's not many people.

tell me more....... they come and pickup i take it? (site is blocked at work :( )

Yeah, they buy DHLs excess, so its basically a cheap DHL service. £9ish i believe for most things (i've sent an AV receiver at 25kg+ via insured for £200 using the £9 next day service). People tell of horror stories, but i believe that goes for every company going.

sweet, sounds like a good price, i take it they are a fair bit cheaper than royal mail then, i will sign up and give them a fair try

payperdrop used to be the best. was £4.99 anywhere in uk or 5.99 to europe. but they seem to have gone bust, surprisingly :'( Never ever had a problem with them, turned up one day delivered the next.

Have a search for courier in the bay. You will find loads.
I used directparceldelivery last week to delivery a chair, but they only showed 2 out of the 4 days I booked them out for and the 2nd time was only after I chased them up. I definitely wouldn't recommend them!
