Started playing this game yesterday, and must say that 'currently' I am totally disappointed with it. The main reason comes down to the companions and Behaviours Menu. I have just spent the last 30 minutes reading post after post on the NW Forum totally daming this feature of the game.
I tried all night to get my companions to follow, what were basic orders in Neverwinter Nights 1, without success. The Behaviour Menu seems totally ineffective... you can either instruct your companions to use AI, which results in them shapeshifting and running into any fight available... or puppet mode, which then results in them attacking one enemy, and then standing there soaking up arrows until told otherwise.
There seems to be no middle ground. I can't get my Druid to heal my party, and the fighter is just either forever storming off, or hanging back and not getting into the fight.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but judging by the posts in the official forum, I am not alone.
I'll continue with the game... but I can already feel the need to shelve this game for a few months until some critical patches comes out.
