I am desperate for a new CPU, but cant see anything out there that is gonna please me.
So I am open for suggestions for a good bang for buck one that is gonna give me some more performance,
I have a e6300 at the moment that is sitting on a 500fsb that is very stable at low low volts 1.36v, will do 3.6ghz but gets a little toasty so call it 3.5.
So where can I go from here.
my x38 will do 500 no probs, my memory might do a little more maybee 520-30 ish. (geil black dragon 5,5,5,15) as it is doing 1000 at these speeds 1.9v.

I know but I have progressivly took this chip as far as it will go over a few motherboard upgrades, so I am abit board want something new to play with.
I know people say why you need it for games, but I get more fun out of pushing systems to their limits instead of playing same old same old all the time, because thats what games are these days.

Would be nice if you could get a 9450, have considered this but like to see a few results before I get one.
As for Phase Easyrider, its not really for me really, maybee a decent water cooling rig next.

I know mate, pretty clued up on this stuff, been overclocking for many a year, Maybee I worded it wrong but was thinking of watercooling for my existing CPU see if I could get stable at 3.7ghz.
This is until I get some info of how well the Q9450s are doing.
I'd like your quad though, 4ghz on four cores is more like what I am after.
Suppose I could keep playing with this CPU, am into windows at 3.7ghz (530) I am pretty sure it wont be stable though, would water help it on its way Easyrider or am I clutching at straws
