I went to the boxing today at the ExCel and it was absolutely amazing, stunning venue and stunning location. Me and the gf went on the cable cars too which rose above E16 and over the river to Greenwich. The whole operation of getting inside and the security checks was slick and took no longer than ten minutes, the dockside venue was beautiful and the event itself thrilling.

A slight downside was the expensive drink and food inside the venue but come on, who doesn't expect that?

People in the UK are being so cynical about the Olympics, but if they'd actually made the effort to go, they'd see the excitement that everyone ELSE has is justified. A truly memorable day. Who else has been?

I was at the boxing today as well... Was that an awesome atmosphere during the last match or what?!?!

I was just discussing how easy it was to get there, in, out and back.

Amazing, yes. I've been to countless metal gigs, but never had anything as loud and intense as that.

Some guy shouting "break his face" had us both on the floor with laughter.

I haven't been yet but will be going next week and looking forward to it, I'm hoping it all goes smoothly but I'm hoping even more that I'll get to see Team GB win a medal or two.

Which venue? The venues are the stars as well, the dockside at ExCel was truly beautiful.

I went to the Beach Volleyball yesterday. Lots of fun. It almost seems like they've Americanised the sport, with music and an announcer in between points, dancers during intervals and court-side intervies after games.

The crowd really got involved, chanting and dancing along. Given that Teasm GB stand to win nothing in this event, it's a really good one to pick if you want a big atmosphere and no one really taking things too seriously. Make sure it's not raining when you go though!

They could have done with a few more bars - queues were 30-45 mins it seems - but overall we got in and to our sits quickly despite it being packed out. 9/10
