Basically I bought an xfi - but with the F7 bios, when you reboot the card uninstalls itself. Now, I updated to F9 and it sucked. It wouldn't let me run my E6300 at 400FSB with Geil RAM (it'd go into a reboot cycle and turn off, resetting the bios). Now I upped the bios to F10. Now I get no cold boot issues, but if I reboot is cycles 4 times then comes on. The system is fine but this is annoying! Who else experiences this and has anyone found a fix which doesn't involve flashing the bios again? Oh the boot cycle doesn't happen when running at stock FSB with the voltages I specify.

It's a well known issue with the F9 bios. It's damn annoying, well it isn't that bad but I'd like to fix it if I can. The XFI isn't the problem - it happens when any overclock is applied.

I have an xfi music in the top pci slot and with both bios' F7 and F10 had no boot cycle problem or the card uninstalling itself

had the DS4 with the same issues, only way for me was to reset cmos, got so bad i left the side door off, never knowing if it will startup ok or go through the reboot cycle.
got rid in the end.
