Nothing rude lol, curious, as I see them as a noviety, any long term usage for webcams? I know youtube.com fun and msn fun with them, but anything else people use them for?

i use mine to allow kids to see their Gran/Grandad who live 200 miles away
also when talking with couple of freinds in us via msn

I've often thought about getting one but never got around to it, I think this thread has persuaded me that I've been right resisting the urge to buy one. I suppose if you've got folks who live some distance away they would be worth it, otherwise they are just a bit of a novelty.
