As much as i dont like mini's, i have to say that looks pretty cool.

I had to drive my mums when i sold my ST, hated the thing. Never mind it being yellow and having the private plate H9NNK.

Though that was just a 1.6 cooper.

I have had a Cooper S (R53) for just over 6 months now, such a fun car to drive. I don't have any pics of it now (except the tiny one in my sig) but will upload some later.

What power did yours have?

I'm not planning a huge amount of mods. I currently just have a Dave.f airbox and will be fitting a 15% SC pulley at 1320 in January. After that I'll probably change the exhaust system and leave it at that. :)

The other half has a Cooper Cabriolet, can't stand them personally, they look like toy cars, she likes it though.

They just look too feminine, like they should have eyelashes in the head lights.

had a 1.3 spi for a while, moved onto a R53 - both are great fun cars as I'm surrounded with miles of single track...
I love it when you get some fanny that thinks its a hairdresser mobile...

this is the old one

Mini 1000 COL 285V was mine :(

It was special, had 36K on the clock when I bought it and paid £1000, I was 2n owner!

- Brown with beige vinyl roof
- Glass sun roof with 3 stage tilt
- Lowered steering column
- Lucas spotlights
- Pecco twin pipe centre
- Stereo casette player with shelf mount rear speakers
- Mono radio with 6 button memory
- Hub caps, polished
- Running 11's

It had ABS in that no matter how hard you hit the brake pedal the drums would NEVER lock, or brake come to think of it. It was the quickest Mini 1000 I ever came across (it actually was, loose engine) after several races and was ace at handbrake turns and reverse racing. Never blew any doors off but it was proper and genuine and a try Mingi!

Had it for 9 months before I got banned, sold it to my mate, he sold it back to my mum, it went many many years ago and I suspect is now many Coke cans.

Oh, this was 27 years ago....

OT but never install harnesses like that. You'll break your back if you have a crash and they won't do you any good at all.

Howcome? I can't make any sense of that in my mind :(

For being an idiot and something I am ashamed of. I drove the wrong way around a keep left bollard at night on a (I thought) totally empty road only to see a young lass walking out in front of me. I swerved but clipped her leg. It was the act of a ****** and something I feel guilty about to this very day. She is fine, but I cut her leg with the edge of my bumper. I was lucky to get 3 months off, a few mm the other way and my life would be very different today.

Harnesses were in for show in the end and never used as they werent road legal due to clasp which I didnt realise. I planned to fit road legal ones however sold the car. I would only fit now with a harness bar/cage.

Just out of interest is it the angle that is incorrect?
