who is using windows media edition?

so the media centre bit is the only difference?
whats so good about the media bit?

I have looked on the demo but it doesnt look that exciting tbh.

Presumabnly an extender allows you to relay the tv to another location.
I would buy mce
1) its cheaper
2)if you get a compatible dvb card you can use it as a tv and vcr which it is rather good at.

do some dbv cards not work with it?
