Who plays natural selection?

Just started playing again recently after about a year, deffinetly one of the best mods for half life, game play is aliens vs marines with combat and an rts style mode, i find combat the most fun and quite like how you can upgrade with points you get from kills, its pretty fast paced and a lot of fun, not seen another game free or otherwise quite like it.

I used to play it, but it got quite repetitive. There's supposedly a sequel in the works, and I've seen footage of it, but apparently it isn't progressing very well and is actually going to go retail.

Used to play it a lot a while ago. Not really played it much lately though. Would be up for a game sometime.

I played it when it first came out, was quite a laugh back then. It all got a bit silly though with exploiters everywhere so I stopped and never went back. I'm guessing a lot of those problems would've been sorted now though?...

Standing as a cloaked Onos(sp?) at the end of a corridor waiting for a marine unit to enter so you could charge them used to be great fun

Yeah a fair bit has changed since early versions, though i've only played since around version 2.0 i believe, also theres some cool plugins on a lot of servers these days, especially in combat ones like extra levels up to lvl 50 which contains some decent new upgrades, some even have a buildmenu where you can build turrets, phase gates etc which can be a lot of fun.

I've heard about ns2 but didn't know it wasn't going so well? even if it does come out retail on steam it should be well worth it, i always felt ns was as good as any retail game tbh.
