Who really uses there HTPC and nothing else?

Hello,

Just curious really. I've made quite a costly mistake and built a nice HTPC which I've finally got running really well but for some reason just don't like having it.

I feel the picture qualities not quite there (ripped to mkv) and the sound isn't a patch on my old LD390 blu ray player

I foolishly sold the LG to fund buying the HTPC but really want a stand alone blu ray player again now so currently selling my HTPC on avforums to fund an Oppo 93.

Does anyone on here just use there HTPC and nothing else. I initially thought the idea was good but now think a stand alone blu ray player is certainly the way ahead!

I don't have a TV card in mine so thats probably what I was missing!! :-(

Just hope I get enough money for it to buy the Oppo!!

What audio are you managing to pass to your amp with that set up? DTS HD MSTR?

I think that was my main issue why I've decided to sell the HTPC.

I was getting PCM / DTS / Dolby Digital but couldn't get DTS HD MSTR which with my old LG blu ray player sounding stunning

i did consider a mac mini before building my htpc. probably would have been easier to sell on lol.
