hehe, I was one of the four founding fathers of CoG - I came up with the nameI started playing Quake 2 back in '97 soon after I joined a clan called Alliance [AL]. In '98 I then joined COG, LL and RV for TDM, which to be honest was the most fun that i've had to date with any game.
hehe, I was one of the four founding fathers of CoG - I came up with the nameman, that was a long time ago. I still chat to one of the AL guys in EQ2/AoC (Rex) - not heard from any of the ex-CoG folk for a long time now. I remember your name from visiting the CoG website after I handed things over to Ares (Mesc/Rob) and Aph. It was all EQ's fault

Yep I joined CoG when Rob / Anna took over. I'm Still hanging out in the irc #cog channel. Often old faces dropping by. Do You remember E^Z / Maximum? well he still hangs out in the channel aswell.
I remember Rexter, sound bloke. Last time I spoke to him was when Q3 came out.
EQ took a lot of old q2'ers back in the day =[
Holy Wars and Catch the Chicken!!!!
Good times.
Are there many Q2 servers still running (Fusters) ?
A friend of mine started his own server (Mart1001), he used to design his own maps too and was very good at it, he did an awesome Pacman style map, wonder if he's still running ?
I recall playing this and Halflife on Dial up where you would shoot then half a second later the gun would react. I got in the knack of going round corners and shooting half sec before turning it. Got one or two frags.
