Just wondering who remember the game dungeon siege, me and my friend played this for hours when we had setup out lan (before we had internet) we played the game to death and it was epic, a journey from one town to the next would be a 5 hour trek, and by the time it was done it really felt like you had achieved something.

Not sure what it was but the game just captured environments great.

Who else used to play this, and is there any other games that are similar?

I preferred the Dungeon Siege games to Diablo games personally. I even managed to get 45 minutes into the film before turning it off, which is 40 minutes more than most people :D

Used to play this over my friend's place, provide much fun until the early morning hours :)

Made a nice change from Baldurs gate 2, which can be quite slow 2 player

Loved this. Very basic but very fun at the same time. Featured a very catchy theme tune as well. Liked the little stop points between fighting where you stocked up on stuff. The amount of potions you had to use was pretty insane.

Never did get round to playing the second game but it might be something checking out. I don't remember the games being that favourable with critics in regards to scores but I liked the game anyway

Got Dungeon Siege 2, enjoyed playing it. Loved the set bonus's etc, was a little like WoW ahah.

Only downside was being unable to save multiplayer games :(

I played both DS and DS2, but both only in SP. In most ways DS2 was better, except I preferred the team orders system in the original.

Dungeon Siege was the first ever game I played when I first had the internet installed(that and SoF2!). Dont think I ever did finish SP, was mainly stuck playing MP (which was hacked to hell and back, especially on pvp servers!).

Anyone remember the Hidden pyramid which was only fount going a certain direction in the desert region oh and the mighty chicken gun!

I played and remember really enjoying it. Was toying with the idea of re-installing it but that got put to one side, along with the Baldurs Gate games and NWN 2 when I decided to lvl a hunter in WoW:o

I enjoyed the first game, and continued playing to level up main character and find the rarer armour sets for multiplayer.

Tried to keep all combat methods high so I was a single man army capable of healing myself while maiming.

Completed the second game just to finish it. Either my tastes had changed (was a big delay between the two games) or it was a poorer game/plot that didn't captivate me the same.

Dungeon Siege 1 was amazing and probably one of my favourite games! Had so much fun in single player and multiplayer.

Dungeon Siege 2 was the biggest dissapointment i have ever felt in terms of sequals. They took all the humour out and tried to make a proper RPG with some heroic story line and multiplayer used the same map as the single player.

Damn i miss the goblin electric guns and flamers the first one had!

Played this many weekends networked with some friends. DS2 wasn't as good as DS1 but we still played it to death!

Our characters were so well kitted and levelled even the hard nasties were fairly easy to deal with.
