Who said Crysis had a bad ending???

its carp cuz it strings you along pretending its gonna offer you abit more to play through (wheres prophet?! were going back for him!) then it slaps you with a "to be continued"

thats why it sucks!

At the time i thought it had a bad ending but on a 2nd play throught later on it didnt bother me as much, i guess because it did end the story with them finding away of beating the bad guys.

I was more dissapointed by the weak-ass tactical nuke gun than anything else :(

I quite liked the final battle, but I was looking forward to seeing some epic effects from that weapon. Even with the smallest of tactical nukes, if I detonate it 50m away I expect to be blinded by a detonation flash, and need to find cover to avoid being ripped to pieces. As it is, the thing was barely more than a slow-moving guided rocket launcher :( Such a missed opportunity :(

I really liked the rest of the game though. I also liked the "floaty level" that people often seem to slate, although the purely alien scenarios that came afterwards got a bit monotonous.

The worst part for me was when you had to guide prophet through the ice part to warmer areas before he froze. TWICE for me he bugged out and stopped moving only to die. I also got the 'could not lock on' bug on the final boss so still haven't actually seen the ending.

I think Prophets version will be the longest, maybe it will be Crysis 2 not just a standalone add on.

Prophet went back to finish it off so cant wait for that 1 :) hope its just not to alieny!

Same.

The ending was weak, though the damage had been done by that stupid 3d floating section. That just annoyed the hell out of me and used up all my ammo. :/

The ending in crysis was not what was originally intended, they had planned something much more elaborate for the ending but ended up going the halo 2 route to get the game out on time.

I'm starting to think the 'could not lock on bug' instances were actually people not aiming at the right parts. My friend said he had the bug - I went round his the other day and he showed me. He was actually aiming at the completely wrong part of the ship despite vehemently saying for days it was actually a bug.

I wonder how many peoples' games are actually working fine. Try aiming at the left and right ends of the ship and not the middle. The bug does exist of course (Crytek addressed it) but I think that because people know it can bug out, they'll just give up at the first sign of trouble or difficulty during that fight and just put it down to not working properly.

I wasn't impressed but hopefully they've saved up something good for Crysis 2 by choosing to end it that way.

I've also never seen this lock-on bug.

Theres quite a few bugs ive heard of but not actually seen, friend of mine on the final level on the carrier fell through the carrier a few times. ive seen it reported a few times online, also seen a similar bug on warhead where you will fall through one of the final levels.

I had a small bug where I was stuck halfway through the ground on Warhead everytime I loaded a certain quicksave. Had to jump out :p

Yeah I know there are a few bugs. The only one I have seen is early on when you have destroyed the tanks and the game doesn't progress even though you get the mission complete message (though you can get past this if you know where to go next to trigger the next mission).
