Who sells extra length inlet hoses?

I'm looking for a 5+ metre blue inlet hose for my washing machine. They seem to top out at 3.5 metres, apart from a 4m one I found in Australia. My search-fu is clearly weak. Is yours stronger? Where can I get one?

Or should I just use a hose connector and string two together?

This 3.5m extension + a normal 3.5 hose = 7m.

Is this enough?

Could you just run copper to where the washing machine is?

A few years back in a rented house, I ran about 3 lengths of pipe with joiners around the kitchen for a dishwasher as there was no plumbing there for it, worked fine. But copper piping is a more permanent solution.

Plastic Pipe with push fit connectors in my kitchen, works just fine, been in 18months with no problems.

There is a reason why you don't get longer washing machine hoses. Washing machines have a fast solenoid which turns the water on and off. This is a big cause for water hammer. The longer the hose the more movement you will get in the hose which can cause premature failure. Ideally should be rigid pipe and the last 1.5m should be flexible hose.

I ended up buying a 3.5m hose and running it a more direct route and it's fine.
