I sold my MT-09 a few months back. My R6 is departing my ownership on Tuesday. The weather this year has been utter *****. I've given up for now.

Here's to hoping for better weather next year, and a shiny new R9 on my list for the summer!

It was quite a 'meh' season for me, not only because my crash at the end of July, put me out of action for the "summer" months.... not that the weather was all that. But I changed bikes in April, then didn't really get to bond with the KTM - might have managed a little over 1000 miles on it, before it chucked me.

So I don't really feel I accomplished much tbh, sure I have enjoyed the 2-3k I have put on my bikes this year, but nothing felt memorable, and the great riding days were so sporadic; I didn't really get to plan many mega rides in with mates.

Here's hoping that I can still snatch a ride here and there before the salt goes down, otherwise, I may have to face the fact that she needs a clean and a tuck up in the garage :(
Sorry to hear that! Hope you're all recovered from your crash, both mentally and physically!

I didn't even manage 1k this year. 2-3k is a solid effort for April to July. I was itching for that 1-2 week period of summer sunshine where I usually ride every evening after work until 9-10 but that didn't happen this year. The weather just never came!

The gritters will be out in force here very soon. It's already dipping down to 4°C.

'Seasons' ??? Half the fun of riding a bike is in these autumn and winter months..your missing out!

Freezing my arse off in 5°C with poor grip and being too stiff to get a knee down isn't fun for me. Add in the grit in the next week or two and I'll be in a bush before I know it! If I was commuting I would consider it as a great way to weave through traffic, but I only commute a few steps into my home office.

This is why I switch to the fun car this time of the year. It's warm inside and I can still have some joy.
