does anyone know who supplies the address information when you go to a website and use the post code to look up your address for things like deliveries?

if i put our office post code, it finds our neighbours address every time and doesn't know we even exist. our neighbours address is

Neighbours Business
1-7 Road Name,

where as we are

My Business
10-14 Road Name,

however when we put in our post code into the form and select 10-14, the form auto fills the address as

Neighbours Business,
10-14 Road Name.

Annoying as too often the form is too stupid to allow edits so we've no choice but to order the items to the wrong address and hope the courier delivers to the correct number and not just look for the business name.

Any idea who we need to go to to get this sorted?

It depends what API they use, could be something like Ordnance survey, could be royal mail.

I had the same issue a couple of years ago at an old flat that had been recently renovated and split in to multiple flats, the new flat wasn't on any of the drop down forms when using most websites. If I remember correctly we had to go through Royal Mail in the first instance then wait a good bit for details to gradually update on the various sites.

99% of qas functions on UK based websites use qas data supplied by Experian.

Royal Mail most likely.

Does your address show on here? http://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode

nope. shows the incorrect office. i've sent a message through their website so will see, but would be good to know if there's likely to be any where else i should check to change.

I had a google for Experian QAS but couldn't find anything related to this
