Who to phone? Alarm in abandoned building

Not really sure who to call on this one, there's a street down the road from me where most of the flats are abandoned and boarded up with the steel shutters on the windows and close entrance. Just noticed walking back from town that coming from inside the close of one of the abandoned buildings is what sounds like a fire alarm, no immediate smoke or smell and i can't enter the building as it's got the metal sheet. I also can't see inside the close, who to phone?

Fire Service/Local Police Station or Local Council?

Or go bash the alarm with your keyboard, it'll be quieter.

Well this pretty much depends on how much the alarm is annoying you, you have two choices as far as I can see;
1) If you're not that bothered about it, just call the Police and let them know that the alarm is going off.
2) If it is really annoying you, phone the police and tell them that you've just seen some arabs with backpacks breaking in.

Local Council, they should have a 24hr 'emergency line'.

The police with do nothing unless you have actually spotted a burglary in progress.

Go police, they may have access to a keyholder list for the building..
