Who uses their floorboards as their actual floor (I.e. no carpet, no laminates etc.,)

Underneath some mankey carpet we have wooden floorboards. They're in great condition.

We're thinking about sanding this down, treating it and using it as our floor, rather than using laminate flooring or another carpet.
