A guest pass will give you a licence to download and play the game for free for a limited period. I had one for DoD: Source and that lasted 3 days so I expect this will be the same. You will need Steam though (if you haven't already).

I think it was for a free month starting on the 20th August, and expires on the 20th September. At least my guest pass did.
