Who Wants To Join Me In A Good Laugh?

Actually in theory, just being able to plug your ipod straight in when you get home and play your music in decent quality isn't a bad idea. Just depends on how good it really sounds, and I suspect it's rather average. It might outperform a £50 Alba system from Argos :D , but it probably won't compete with even basic hi-fi equipement.

Plus it probably only takes apple players, and they're not my cup of tea. The idea of carting it round the street with you is laughable though. Also what happened to apple being the kings of cool design

or you could simply play the music on your pc which to put it onto an ipod, you must have had it on in the first place. I can imagine someone carrying that under their arm.

Whats wrong with a decent hifi setup or a proper audio setup and then connect it via that. I run my H10 through my PC speakers just by using the jack as my PC runs through my hifi now and its great. Dont understand the point of this at all.

It will sell cause it has an Apple badge. The same way Bose sells cause it has a Bose badge on.

Sad but true.

there are already tons of these on the market. Just apple trying to pinch some sales from other manufacturers. Audiphile quality my ass.
Its no the idea that bad as they will be great for a lot of people. Its the total marketing bull that they spew on the pages thats annoying, that and knowing that people will lap it up.

"Close your eyes and you’d think you were listening to a huge stack of speakers."

Wouldn't a huge stack of speakers sound horrible? Maybe that's what they mean.

I'm not sure, but when I rearrange my hi-fi I'm going to put the speakers 11 inches apart, because apparantly then I can enjoy the sound of a large stack of speakers.

I shall be moving my B&W within touching distance of each other to improve the sound stage as soon as I get home. One day everyone will appreciate true sound quality and dodgy products like this will be consigned to history.

I think its a bit silly, it looks quite nice, would be better with a wooden surround though.

I reckon i'd get one, but only if it had a clock/radio and cd player, then it would be perfect!

I'm not sure it's entirely designed to replace the entire home stereo system. I think it's aiming for the secondary system niche that bose seem to have a grip on atm. For example, if your kid had an ipod and wanted some kind of boom box for their bedroom, this would surely be perfect, no?
