a 3rd option of maybe would be nice. I'm currently on a 980ti and I might get one but it depends on what the actual price is and what the benchmarks say.

Yes, I already predicted the $700 aggressive price last year which the naysayers thought I was mad to believe (even though every Ti generation has launched only slightly higher than the milking mid range 80 series and made the 80 series lose value overnight time and time again).

I member Simon touting the Ti will be well north of $1000. Easy being in denial of the 1080 losing value and the Ti pushing it's price bracket down.

Just because I have a 1080, it does not mean I have to pretend I'm blind to what inevitably happens to tech prices when something faster comes out.

Probably depends on what I can get for my 980ti on the second hand market. If the price drops on the 980ti's to silly money i.e sub £200 then I'll hang on to it.

not yet, the only reason for me to get a TI would be if I get a decent 4k monitor as well and those are nowhere to be seen just yet. Decent means 100+ hz refresh rate and over 30' diagonal. Maybe next year and by then next generation will be close anyway so might as well wait :)
