will it only be on sale on the official nvidia site? when might it show up on retailers? will it just be stock coolers? or do we even know this info yet?

I'm torn on to buy or not. I got a 1070 as a stop-gap to wait for the 1080Ti, but honestly I'm pretty happy with it so not sure it it's worth the upgrade. OTOH, it's the final part of my original build plan and I've got the cash...
You are happy with it and don't need the performance, but you forgetting about the ePeen... :p

As a Titan XP owner, no I won't be getting one. After many years of constantly upgrading, I've decided I'm happy with what I've got and will hopefully enjoy it over the next 3~5 years.

I'm not playing the corporate big boys game for a while.

It'll depend on the benchmarks, it has to be able to do 4k 60FPS, but if it can I'm there. I'll probably be waiting until May when I go to the States on holiday though. My 980 GTX will be able to hold on until then.

I know what you mean :). You could always do the smart thing, if you are happy with what you are getting then don't bother upgrading. Next year there is a chance we might get Volta, so you could keep your money now and reconsider then. Then of course, there is the upgrade itch :)

i wonder how much the faster memory will help the 1080
if its $100 less and a bit faster that could be a good card

You should take a picture of your gaming PC room one day. If you are buying the inferior 1080Ti when you have a Titan XP, your PC room must be out of this world. You would do well on YouTube Kaaps :D

No my room is very ordinary and untidy.

If I could find someone who is good at decorating I would buy them a Titan to get the room done.

ive been decorating all week, i think it would take more than that to get me doing more decorating right now :)

Awesome card but no, probably not unless I put one in a second PC. Will be good to see how much faster than a TXP they are which is what I use (on air too). Good to see there seems to be more to it than just a cut down card - seems to have a few extra features from what I've quickly read.

I think it will have a job to beat a Pascal Titan on water with it's extra ROPs memory and bus.

Saying no to myself out loud as I do not even use my gaming PC anymore (been a month and a bit since I played anything on it!) since buying an Xbox one S  and the 1080's do a decent enough job, but the upgrade itch is real!
