Whoa! 7900GS is a cracker

ahh seen. im probably gonna get this card, for £115 inc vat and delivery its very hard to beat this option. guess i will sell my 7600gt on to recoup some of the cash back.

did you email me once about this? i let it slip on a thread once that i may be selling my 7600gt and next day i checked my mailbox i got a ton of mail for people wanting to buy it. loads of them saying they want to run a 7600gt sli system, and they like how my card goes off the scale with its memory overclock.

if im gonna get a 7900gs ill probably place the order for it on sunday seeing as how ordering it today would make no difference. also gives me time to see how things are with them and how well they perform.

it seems to be a cracking card though. i would have gone to a 7600gt sli setup if my board had 2 pci-e slots. :(
 
Any pics? I'm probably gonna get a couple and run SLI in my A8N32, only problem is i also have an X-Fi taking up one of my PCI slots, so it could be a tight fit.
 
I have a Sapphire x1900xt in my other machine and for gaming etc its hard to call at the res i play.1280x1074.

The x1900xt would pull away from this at higher res but i dont have higher res so i dont care! :D
 
right, ill charge the digicam batteries for when the card arrives, i will take full box shots, and card shots etc.

will even take the cooler off the card so the ram is visible. interested in knowing what the nanosecond ratings is on the memory and who its made by.
 
no i will be selling the 7600gt, but first have to wait for the 7900gs to arrive, which should be on wednesday. then i will install the 7900gs and play with it till the weekend, if all is fine i will put the 7600gt on the members market over the weekend.

i doubt there will be a massive difference from my 7600gt but since i have a crt monitor i love to play games at 1600x1200 so the 7900gs should be a bit better for me.

gonna first take some pics of the card and post on here so people can get a full idea on what it looks like with the heatsink removed. im wondering on what type of ram it has.

Got a link to any benches? Any pics of the 7900GS cards in SLI mode would be welcome too as i'm worried about the limited slot space.
