Whoops - German football choose the wrong font

Leading on? How is this connected?

All white people are Nazis now. Gawd, don't you even media anymore? /s

Should the national team have more brown/black players? More Jewish players? Over 40s players? etc. etc.

It's a dumb question (and yes in my eyes, racist), but the furore over it when no one has batted an eyelid with all of the obsession over race when it's the other way is laughable. Either we see all races and differentiate ourselves into derangement, or we just accept that SKIN COLOUR SHOULDN'T ****ING MATTER like MLK Jr envisioned.

It's obviously a racist question and it's clear that the country (among many others) has a problem with racism but I don't see how it's connected to the shirt numbering unless you think it was some cunning plan to include a reference in a shirt number that would never be used in the tournament.

How is it obviously racist though?

Is it obvious when it's about black players? (I may be wrong, and I'm not wasting my time looking, but certain this country has been banging on about black managers or Asian players at some point) Or is that more about diversity, equality and inclusion?

My argument is that race SHOULD never be a differentiator. In doing so invites discrimination. Therefore, asking a question that centres around race, is always racist, imo.

Edit: as you alluded to in your post, this Germany, with a past of despicable racism and rising anti-immigration sentiment. People are desperate to link that to the Nazis (for reasons I am yet to understand), hence why I believe Derek W has posted that link in this thread.

Yes  It's racist because there are tonnes of white players in the Germany squad. The question is being asked because they want less black players.

It's asked about black managers and asian players because both are almost unheard of and well below what they should be. They're different problems though. There are a lot of black players at every level so why aren't they becoming managers? I think it was Viera who said the doors aren't open in the same way that they are for white players. The latter I have no idea on, it's always been surprising how few British Asian footballer there are considering the population.

Was that the question asked? Your conclusion isn't obvious, unless everyone projects the idea that more white/less black is what the answer to that question is interpreted as.

I agree it's racist. I don't agree with you as the reason why it's racist.

Surely is it exactly as racist as demanding more diversity in a side.

The only non racist position is wanting the best players selected.

Come now, we all know that unless minorities are over-represented then you have a problem and need to do something about it. Its utterly stupid but those are the current rules.
