Who's ditching Q6600 FOR q9450?

Is there really going to be that much of a difference? It will be quieter and it will use less power, but is it going to make a noticable change?

I don't get the whole lower power thing when according to wiki the Q9450 and Q6600 both have a TDP of 95W, imo it's only worth upgrading for the sake of willy waving(or SSE4), the Q6600 is still an excellent cpu and OCs like crazy. I'm gona wait for the new Intel socket and the cpus that go in it and see what AMD have up their sleeves

i'm already getting 9450 performance at low volts with a q6600, i'll keep my 100 quid for the upgrade this time.

i would revisit the situation if there were boards that could take advantage of a 9450 however.

lol

class A chemicals tonight easy? :p

i'd want 4ghz+ to even consider the hassle of selling my chip and then ponying up another 100 but i can see the attraction for some.
