Who's getting a gtx 960?

I dont see the place for these cards. Today and tomorrow there will be more and more games that require 3Gb+ of vram for textures in game at 1080p!

Unless your a gamer that just wants a good card at a set budget and are not fussed with setting max or near max IQ at your resolution, I find it hard to see where these fit in.

So the majority of users then :)

Nope; happy to wait for either 380X or 370X.

At this point we don't even know if a 960 Ti or 965 exists.

From all the rumours, these AMD cards could give us some real boosts in the mid-range, where as the nV card only really improves perf per watt.

At a much lower price it would be a good card, not at £170-£190 tho. In fact a short wait might see the prices drop anyhow, so even if you want a 960 I don't see why you'd buy now...

The only card which night be interesting would be a 960ti with more vram.

This is what I'm waiting for. The gap between the 960 and the 970 is massive so there's a plenty of space for a 960ti. If it has 3GB VRAM and gets near 290 level performance for about £210 then that would be a sweet 1080p card I think.

Not me, they're about 40/50 quid too expensive. IMO they should have priced:

120 (960) > 250 (970) > 400 (980)

Based on the cheapest cards

Especially considering these are effectively the new 750ti cards

In Oct 2012 I paid £190 for a 7870. Today nearly 2.5 years on and the newest midrange card, the 960, is only about 20% faster and costs a minimum of £170.

So no, give me 290 performance at £180 and then I'll bite.

I got one on Saturday, the gigabyte itx version. I got it because of the power requirements and the ts140 I put it in is limited in choice.

It's mainly a htpc with the odd game that I can't get on PS4.
