Who's getting a new GTS?

Im getting one because i have a 6800GT which will be upgraded to a 1650pro for about 5days before being upgraded to a 8800GTS :p lol.

Is a 1650pro even an upgrade over a 6800GT? It has 512mb i gues... but i doubt its fast enough to use it all anyway lol.

But i can understand people who paid £150 for their GT selling it on for £180+ and getting a gts fully.

Yeah the upgrade for me will cost me £19.

The GTS will hold it value longer than the GT come 9800.

There is method to my maddness.:)

you just got your 8800GT i assume?

but why.

why not just put a good cooler on your GT and clock it really high, after all the amount of vram is exactly the same, so you wont be any better when it comes to levels of AA compared to that of the GT.

Hope Nvidia lift the NDA on this soon, want to know the selling price from OcUK :)

I think this card is probably a poor upgrade for people that currently have an 8800GT / 8800 GTX, although the card wasn't really built for that purposes and is still definetly a great card by the looks of it for people that have 2900XT's / old 8800 GTS's or worse.

I sold my GT before they drop and bag a faster card for the price of an aftermarket cooler for the GT.

Why spend 20 quid on an S1 when I can spend 19 and get a GTS which is faster, has more SP's has a better cooler.:)

:)

thanks mate.

was initially worried about the memory bandwidth for AA/AF at 1900 since tha 1900xt has 512 bit and struggles but looking at the benches looks ok

Well not unless it comes in around £200 to £225, but we all know thats very unlikely considering the uk's very own 'special' GT premium, so no.

Hi there

OK we've managed to pull of a mental 8800 GTX deal!

This new prices makes the GTX as cheap as some of the overclocked 8800 GT's and as cheap as the forth coming 8800 GTS possibly if price rumours are true, so for those who crave only the best OcUK brings you the 8800 GTX at an unbelievable low price!!
