You'd be barmy to spend £260 on a GTS when you can walk down to OcUK and pick up a GTX for £240 and then still have cash left over for a few cases of booze (Can get silly amounts for £20 this time of year).

Has he cancelled his order then?, as he reckons they'll be £260. Personally I'd get that GTX and be done with it.

Bigger bandwidth etc etc

Faster card all round.

With the new cards costing £240 thats brought them down to £200 2nd hand??

It's still highly confusing to me i see benchmarks showing the gts beating the gtx hands down and the gtx is faster? or only at 1920 res and above ?
hang on a sec didn't you own a gtx easyrider ? but sell it on to downgrade ? this is going full circle wouldn't it have worked out cheaper to just have kept the gtx all this time ?

Nah I think I'll get one of these new GTS.

EDIT :

Don't care how much it has affected the 2nd hand price. I paid £250 3-4 month's ago for my brand new GTX. £50 loss in that time is not a big deal to me and In any case I won't be selling till next feb so I'll take what I can get for it then.

Depends on the game.

Looks like the newer titles like the raw power of the GTS. "World in Conflict" for example hammers the GTX.

Crysis = GTX faster
Far Cry = GTX faster overall (Unsure the GTX is below since it has the faster overall frames even if it is only by 2FPS)
Sup Com = GTX faster
Prey = GTX faster
STALKER = GTX faster
UT3 = GTX faster

That's 6/8. clear win for the GTX.

Also I'm unsure as to why the tests were done with no AA, annoying.

Bottom line the GT & GTS cost a lot less than a GTX but have similiar performance.

Depending on resolution but it barely beats the GTS non so let us say with better drivers you can take as given the gts beats the gtx across the board nevermind with a mild overclock no wonder the gtx price drop it means the GTS whoops it so lets drop the price before people know about it and shift as many as possible?

I suspect driver updates will see good gains with the GTS & GT.
