Who's getting G80?

ehh? can g80 really max out all sliders in oblivion and run it with hdr at 1600x1200 with 16xAF and 16xAA and still get minimum framerates of 100fps?

if what you say is true then i will be up tonight and order a card as soon as it appears on the site for order.

I'd just settle for it working ok straight from the box

I really doubt it can, considering early reports put it slightly ahead of the 1950xt crossfire which cannot run anywhere near a constant 100fps. I wouldn't be buying a video card for one game even if it could. Maybe G80 SLI will be close to a constant 60fps but am only guessing.

Out of interest is anyone getting a 680i mobo to go with their new G80.

IIRC the only boards out tomorrow are the BFG and evga, neither brand I've had any dealings with mobo wise, I'd like to get either the Asus ROG board or the DFI, it depends on which one launches first, as long as they can both do 400 and SLI then i'll be happy with either, the DFI's out in December I've heard, the Asus I don't know the release date for.

Nope i was exaggerating, i doubt it very much.

I may get one after christmas when the hype has lowered.

I like to see a few reviews and bemchmarks befoe I decide. That too, and it's always good to get opinions from early birds.

This waiting is killing me. 3 1/2 years since I upgraded last and I'm chomping at the bit to have a new rig built this Friday. I have 'authorisation' from the wife to spend 1k on a base unit.
