Who's got the oldest PSU?

or find an oem list and make sure to avoid Corsair/CWT (every powersupply I've had issues with has been Corsair units built by CWT).

CWT isn't junk but I avoid PSUs using them personally - the vast majority of times over many years where I've had issues with PSUs to deal with it has been CWT based units, or back in the day Q-Tec... probably some stuff I've forgotten but CWT has been notable enough in terms of problems.

Still using the Seasonic PSUs I got from this forum. There isn't much need to upgrade unless something goes wrong (which luckily I've not had so far), and I wouldn't get one now if I can avoid it as there's still not enough stability with the features (like the 12VHPWR cable) even though that's now part of a spec.

My 14 year old XFX 750w PSU has died a few weeks ago so I have had to replace it. I suspect the caps have probably aged and it could be repaired quite easily.

Evga 650w at least 6 years old, have been looking at a new PSU. Have seen the Corsair RM850e on offer.
depending on which EVGA unit i probably wouldn't bother, unless you are specifically upgrading the PSU due to more power-hungry parts
the RM-e series use cheap(er) components

I have a Corsair hx520 in a spare PC which must be at least 18 years old. Still works fine.

They don't die after 5 years like some think, not good quality ones anyway. I've had more failures with brand new, modern ones.
