Just wondering how many people here still have a launch day console? Now that your year is up, was anyone tempted to go and get a replacement on the off chance of future problems? Anyone not had a problem at all with their 360 reliability wise?

Ive got one from 29/11/05, but bought on the 26th of January 06 and i still have my receipt with the place i bought it.. i must admit i am usually quite ethical and dont really want to exchange my console.. its not given me any problems.. although now ive jinxed it, im sure it will pop soon! :(

not release day console, 6th jan.

only problem i have had is that nfs carbon is freezing (but im pretty sure thats problems with the game). but the right trigger on the original controller has started playing up a bit recently. not even bothere about contacting microsoft about that, i will just buy another controller.

my brother is getting one for christmas and it seems to have a load of warnings with it that obviously never came with early ones. big sticker over the dvd tray telling you not to alter the position while it is turned on.

Still going strong, something like 10% of 360s failed, thats down to poor placement of the power pack

I didn't know that, so where would be a poor place to keep it?

Someone on xbox live (my PGR3 was crashing on guide button presses, but was later discovered to be software related) was saying it should be placed above ground or ontop a book or cd case, have allways had mine on the carpet away from any heat source, have had one console fail after 5 months.

I wish I could say mine was still going strong, but it started crashing in GOW since I had it, then started crashing in SC: DA and then GRAW, so I'm now on my second, was very lucky I was only just in the 1 year.

Got my Core system within a week of launch day, still solid as a rock :)

And its getting a good hammering, i dont envy it come xmas holidays :P

Edit: forgot to touch wood
