Indeed. I've been meaning to see them for a while now. I guess I either need to wait for them to reappear on tv (dowt it :D) or buy them, if the latter it will be a while..
But worth it. :D

Glad to see Moore's doing rubbish.

He is the campest man to ever play bond and in his later ones "Octopussy" and "A View to the Kill" he is 56 and 58 respectively.

Me and my mate did a drinking challenge during Moonraker and drank when there was an innuendo. We didn't catch the end of the film to say the least.

He has got to be the sleasiest Bond there has been and I dont believe Bond should be that sleasy.

That said however, I do enjoy his films but it does depend on what type of film I'm wanting to watch. If it's a Bond then I'd go for a Dalton, Lazenby or Connery. If its a more cheesy, light hearted film then it'd be a Moore or even a Brosnan.

I would add that Brosnan had the look of a Bond above any of the others IMO :)

Not according to Ian Fleming. Lazenby was Fleming's ideal bond.

My favourite will always be Dalton.

Brosnan's voice was too weedy.

And let's face it, Sean Connery wasn't a very good actor during his bond stint. He improved as an actor afterwards.

And Roger Moore was lumbered with crap stories.

Roger Moore should be doing much better.

Live & Let Die, Man With The Golden Gun & The Spy Who Loved Me are all amazing.

If I could vote again I would consider voting for him over Connery, I'm that appalled! Would have thought he'd have a lot more fans!

Connery for me with moore a close second and maybe brosnan in third cause he has the look of bond which the other 2 dont but he doesnt have the persona of connery for me

He wasn't a double 0 agent until the end of this one though. Thats the point.
Yeah he was. He's made a 00 agent sometime between the b+w intro, and the start of the film proper. M has a line that's something like "We give him double 0 status and he goes and shoots up an embassy".

Yeah, I made a mistake on that one (shock: horror!)

He wasn't 'Bond' as known though. He didn't know how to take his Martini, he didn't have his Bond, James Bond tagline until the end of the film, etc. Thats what I was after saying, I just missed it entirely :)

Brosnan is my favorite Bond, even tho his films (with the exception of Goldeneye) were some of the weakest. My favorite films are the 70's and 80's ones - so Moore would be a close 2nd for me.

Roger Moore. I was impressed with Dalton's performance, and I think he is a close second, but he lacked the cheeky aspect that Moore gave the character, one which I associate with Bond. Without it, he's just another spy in a tense spy thriller. Connery was too wooden and too Scottish. Brosnan was too dull. I can't remember Lazenby, so no comment. Haven't seen the new one.

I think Craig did an excellent job as bond considering the criticism he got prior to Casino Royale being released. He would be near the top imo, and I feel safe making that judgement even only after one film. :)

The Chimps in the Brooke Bond Adverts win every time :)

Question: "Do you know the piano is standing on my foot dad?"

Answer: "You sing it and I'll play it son"

Beats the line: "The name's Bond, James Bond" everytime :D

Otherwise Sean Connery's got my vote!

I am one of the few that has lived through all these Bonds :p
I have Never said it out loud before and i find it hard to admit but Pierce Brosnan for me has been closest to what i think Bond should be like so he gets my vote.
Connery is Scottish, Nuff said.
Roger Moore i know for a fact was a Wimp but i cannot print why as he will sue me :p He also made Bond like a cartoon character.
Dalton to smug with a head like a bucket.
Craig, Dunno yet to be honest.
Lazenby Just wasn't Bond to me.

So even though it shocks me it is Pierce Bond Brosnan for me.

edit.
I should add i have nothing against the Scots it's just Bond should be English and Nothing else.

Slightly ironic then that Bond was not English in the original books, as I mentioned before in the thread the quintessential English agent was in fact half Scottish, half French-Swiss (Wikipedia article) although if the Wikipedia page is to be believe Fleming only added in the Scottish part due to Connery's portrayal of Bond which I didn't know before. :)
