I should add i have nothing against the Scots it's just Bond should be English and Nothing else.

So why have you chosen the boghopping potato farmer as Bond then?

Slightly ironic then that Bond was not English in the original books, as I mentioned before in the thread the quintessential English agent was in fact half Scottish, half French-Swiss (Wikipedia article) although if the Wikipedia page is to be believe Fleming only added in the Scottish part due to Connery's portrayal of Bond which I didn't know before.

This has No relevance at all on who I think is best and what i want as Bond.
I am not trying to recreate some ancient Bond in my head i am saying that Brosnan is the closest to what I want Bond to be like.
I don't want someone with a Scottish accent for starters.

I wasn't trying to say who you should have, I'm just pointing out the irony of picking Brosnan when he is nowhere near what the orignal creator of Bond wanted. If you reckon Brosnan is best then I have no arguments, we each have our favourites but I merely wanted to say that Scots or more accurately a mildly Scottish accent is probably how Bond was intended to be by the writer.

Roger Moore

When I think of Bond I think of Roger Moore. Connery was, as has been said earlier in the thread, quite wooden in the early bond films. Brosnan's films were more about special effects. Dalton didn't do enough films and Craig hasn't done enough yet to be considered the best Bond.

Moore's Bond was just so much more entertaining.
