Who's the best photographer in the world?

I looked this up and it seems to be Steve McCurry. I'd never heard of him, and I'm probably one of the few to have not known about the afghan girl before yesterday. His photographs are mind blowing, mostly the way he captures the eyes. Quite a few look like they were taken in a studio when they weren't. Like this one, it looks amazing.

And these are all incredible. The way he processed the photo of the flat cap boy looks like something from
the 1920s.

Is he still regarded as the best or is there better? Hard to imagine anyone better, at least, for capturing faces.
 
Right, thanks Raymond, I'll go look at some of their work. When you think of the millions of people around the world with cameras, it must be quite a feeling to be known as the best or one of the best in the world.
 
Well I'll put them in this order of preference. Scholler, very interesting face photos, really illuminates the eyes in a similar way to Steve McCurry. Leibovitz, interesting compositions.. Testino, of course amazing photos, but slick fashion photos just don't do much for me.
