Who's tried the alternative to the Icemat?

Have any of you guys tried the new Steelpad 5L from the SteelSeries range? I'd like to have some feedback on it please. Ive spoken with a couple of Clan members who reckon its as good, or better than the Icemat.

In one of the mags here (custom pc?) they did a test of gaming mats. The Icemat beat the steelpad but I didnt pay much attention why - it might be this months issue check it out. Ive also seen a steelpad which wore through but im biased - very happy with my icemat.

was the test with the new 5L pad or the older steelpad 4S or 4D?

Have had a Steelpad 4S for over a year and have really liked it - have it paired with a logitech 510 and all seems great.
