Who's using Steam controller?

No, bought it on release, tried everyday for 4 months, hated it. My monitor died and and I moved my PC into smaller case and put it behind the living room TV and game from there, it’s also now our family media PC and VR rig, anyway, I threw my desk out and needed a solution to game with, enter the steam controller. I absolutely hated it, the only genre that I quite enjoyed using it with is the racing games. It’s now my designated media controller and I bought a Razer Turret lapboard and use that to game with

I keep meaning to pick one up when they go on sale but often miss out on local stock and Steam shipping often makes it unattractive.

I’m using it for shadow of war and actually think it’s pretty good for that when you get used to the haptic right stick and increase the camera speed in settings!

What I'm struggling with is turning round 180 fast to shoot things from behind.... Easier way to set it up without crazy fast mouse speed?

Use the options in steam to change how the right hand haptic controller section works. In game press the steam button and change it through there.

I like it in general, but I can't use it as the thumb stick is completely wrong for my hand size and so my hand hurts after a short period of time. I'm now back using the Xbox one wireless controller and that feels much nicer.

I like it - when it works well.

Nothing mechanically wrong with it - I actually quite like the feel of it over the 360 controller but most games I have tried, all seem to have so much better mapping for the 360. Firewatch for example I found it did very well on but skyrim for example the trackpad was a real hassle to control and didn't move smoothly enough for me.

Probably just user error not selecting the best profile however...

Personally the steam controller is really impractical unlike xbox or even the playstation controller, the buttons and the lack of joysticks make it hard to use. I would just recommend using a xbox one or 360 controller even if you dont personally use any controller.
