Whose getting a Samsung 9 Series?

I'm fed up with waiting for em tbh. Its seems everyone is taking sooo long to bring out a 120Hz 27"+ monitor and thats all i'm after. Set my heart on one of these babies december last year but still not seen even a twinkling of an actual release date :(

Getting a bit bored of waiting and keep looking at iiyama 27" monitors, I dont understand why they dont give us a date, surely it would make people wait rather than get tempted away if there was a confirmed date, seems daft to me

I've had a 26" iiyama monitor (1920x1200) at home for three years now and I must say it's been good to me but personally I think the resolution is to low for such a big screen. Let alone 1920x1080 on a 27" :) My girlfriend is on a 23" Dell 1920x1080 and I find that better to work with than my own 26"...

On the other hand, the 120Hz is very welcoming and not available in monitors with higher resolution (yet)...

Anyway, I've ordered myself a Hazro 27" C, should be good.

Lets hope the actual clarity of fast moving objects resembles the 2233 + viewsonic 22" variant rather than the benq of fail etc :(

Samsung are usually quite consistent in using good RTC algorithms in their modern monitors. The 2233RZ was a great example of this - but we will just have to wait and see. I just hope this optimism isn't unfounded.

@Relentless.

I am getting frustrated as well. Even Samsung's PR teams don't seem to know exactly what's going on with the release dates. At first I thought they weren't disclosing information because I wasn't important enough. But it transpires there is a lot of uncertainty. I think they are trying to schedule release of all new monitors (Series 350/550/650/750/850/950) for around the same time rather than dissolving them into the market one by one. That's no good for people like me who want to review them all, either! :p

I'm waiting for reviews, hopefully they'll be good. I'm holding off upgrading my whole PC for a decent 27 inch 120Hz monitor. If we aren't going to see that for a long time, I guess I'll go for a 24.

Just a super quick update on this (incase you don't regularly follow my website - and shame on you if not ;)). The SA750 and SA950 are currently slotted in for a May release in the US at a retail price starting from a rather steep $599. No word yet on a UK release date or more specific prices - but some interesting videos emerged from Samsung Ukraine that show off some nifty features of the upcoming monitors. I'm not a huge fan of touch sensitive controls but I particularly like the look of the 'control hub' of the SA750 as the layout looks quite intuitive. Hopefully it will respond properly to touch. The final video on that page shows off the C27A750 'Central Station' monitor and it appears to have a similar menu navigation feature.

:D thanks for the update! i was going to get one of the hazros but glad i held off, i plumped for a sammy 2450 in the end, £189 so cheap enough, till the arrival of my SA950 which im guessing will be late may early june going by the us release then :p

I'm a bit surprised at the apparent (to me) lack of vesa mounting possibilities on the new monitor ranges.. I'm waiting for the actual local releases of the 120Hz 27"-ers but any that I can't mount will likely be off the consideration list.

Whilst I understand VESA mounting can be an important consideration (and I hope that other 27" 120Hz monitors will provide such functionality) the stands are an integral part of the SA750 and SA950 series monitors - and are part reason why the prices will be so high! The aesthetics (the sleek look, particularly at the back and from the sides) and the whole integrated structure of the monitors would be destroyed if VESA mount housing was included. I am not sure how exactly the SA950 will work regarding this but I believe the SA750's stand actually includes the transmitter for the 3D glasses and as mentioned above that is where the controls are.

Hmm I really do fancy a 27" monitor, luckily I'm waiting for some money to come in so my hands are tied. Late May would work though, not too many sensibly priced screens in this size atm...

I saw the 950 at the gadget show briefly yesterday. Couldn't comment on the panels themselves, but the shop said that they expected them late May.

Am I right in thinking that there are two 27 inch models? At least that was the impression I got. One with Samsungs own 3D built in (the curvy panel) and a more simple 27 incher without the 3D stuff?

Anyway I think she said the curvy one was going to be £399

The SA750 = simplistic design
The SA950 = curvy :D

At £399 if that's for the curvy that'll do me but I'm prepared to pay up to £500 for a 27inch screen with 3d built in

OK thanks. Well I think she said that price for the 950... not sure. Could've been the 750.

I think it looks terrific, and I hope it will perform as good as it looks.

I've had a the Samsung P2250 for a couple of years now, and have been very happy with it, and only recently ordered a replacement for it.

However, I also have the P2270HD TV in my room and this has a fixed stand. It won't event tilt (and in fact leans slightly forwards when placed on a flat surface, which is fine for the moment as it's in the bedroom, I am watching it from the bed so at a lower angle). I would find the lack of the ability to at least tilt the screen somewhat lacking if I was using it elsewhere).

I think in this case it's form over function, and I'd prefer function over form in a monitor.

It'd be nice if they did another model with the same panel (assuming it's good of course) with a more regular, less stylish, adjustable stand!

The SA750 and SA950 both feature an integrated 3D solution and 120Hz refresh rates but as far as I can tell only the SA950 features 2D to 3D on-the-fly conversion for conventional movies etc. By 'the curvy one' you would think she meant the SA950 (unless she was looking at the base of the 750) - but you have to remember there are 23" varients of each one. £399 sounds like a possible RRP for the 23" SA950 but I'd be very surprised if the 27" SA950 was that price at launch. The series of monitors is said to retail from $599 so either way we may not get totally ripped off compared to our friends over the pond this time! :p

P.S. Did you notice LG were still showing off the 15" OLED display at that event? The 31" version, which would be much more impressive, is now due (cross fingers) for later this year but was originally supposed to be out this March. That would be a real crowd pleaser.

£400 for 23" is a joke, guess I won't be holding out for these and probably going with the LG which has recently shown good value for money with price drops.

P.S. I must point out I am only interested in 120hz gaming.
