Another 3080 owner here. No idea what to get. I'm in the unfortunate position of currently playing the nuts off Cyberpunk at the moment so will probably have to go Nvidia...

3080 user here too, going for a 5080 myself. Should be a nice upgrade for some 1440p UW gaming.

I'm interested in a 5070ti that's at or less than 300mm in length for my SFF. Have any models been revealed yet that meet that spec? Would also need to be a maximum of 2.5 slots in width. At the very least I'm hoping MSI will do one of their usual Ventus 2X models.

I am still very much on the fence. My AIB 4090 is still amazing after just over 2yrs of service. I paid £1800 for it in Dec 2022. Much will depend on what the reviewers say, and what the resale value of the 4090 will be.

1440 UW here as well. Looking at the spec against the 4080s it does look like a very small bump, which makes the prospect of the inevitable ti with 24gb VRAM and actual generational increase in cores seem almost worth waiting for.

I don't know if I'm glad I skipped 40 series or not... I suppose if I hadn't I wouldn't be tempted to upgrade.

All the AI and FG stuff has no appeal to me. DLSS upscaling is the only feature that interests me, and that's only further down the line when I'll need to lean on it.

3080 here too at the moment, I'm most likely going to try grab a 5080. The temptation to go 5090 is there, but the price is very off-putting lol. Maybe if I knew what my bonus from work was going to be already... (if any).

Edit: Conversation at work today making me realise how long I've had my 3080 helps. I bought it in November 2020, didn't realise it had been so long already.

5080 and I’m in same position as you. I skipped 4000 so the jump up should be worthwhile

At the moment it's looking like "no".

I want to see what the raster performance of the 5080 is. If it's good enough, I might plunge, but I doubt it. It looks way too close to the 5070ti to be of interest. But we will see. It's not a price issue. It's a performance issue.

Can't see me upgrading soon. But if there's a card around £400 with a substantial uplift over my 6800 with same or more ram I would consider it.

I expect prices to be silly whether team red or green though. I just want the best performance for my money. But it has to be a decent uplift over what I have.

I'll be sitting on the fence until everyone has shown there cards all though after CES I'm not expecting anything spell binding from AMD in terms of performance, value or features so if I do get a new card it will most likely be from Nvidia.

The only dark horse is Intel with a potential B7XX card, tbh I think creating a mid range Battlemage card will be a more difficult value proposition as this market is very competitive unlike the entry level which was dire I'm terms of offerings prior to Battlemage. Also any Battlemage card will have a tech disadvantage being on 5nm going up against 4nm cards (although cost should be more favourable).

I'm going for the 9070 as my next card. Can't justify 1k for a GPU these days. 6800XT still working fine at 1440p so might even sit it out if the reviews aren't great for the 9070
i paid £600 for my trusty 6800 at launch. I was justifying an upgrade as ive had it 4yrs. In all honesty, an expected stupidly expensive car bill mixed with a games library that is currently very underwhelming, i may have to keep the 6800 for another year.
