These new cards are still gigantic. I haven't seen any normal sized (2 slot) cards, are there any? Still wouldn't jump to get one unless the performance/power increase is really good for the price, which in my view hasn't been there for a while.

I'm still using an FT03 case, and the 2080Ti I have just about maxes out the height space before it hits the bottom fans. I've not yet found a mATX case alternative so big/longer cards have made GPU upgrades limited for me. I hope we return to the previous sizes someday and the gigantic cards are for just the top tier models.

Going to have to give the 5000 series a miss for now. Only a 5090 would make sense for me from a 4080S, but I would need a new PSU so will wait until I build a new rig.

Really like the FE design.

Voted no. Interested to read the reviews but £500 is more than my pc is worth; too expensive. Where is the 5060? 4060 aside, the 60 cards have been the high competition area.

Hell no, £300 is my limit for a GC.

The size of these things is mad as well. They really should just be AIOs then if you want air get the FE.

Will be going for a 5070 to replace my 4 year old 3070, but won't be bagging one till June.

I still think the 4090 Aorus Master was the biggest card ever and bigger than the 5090 versions.

Gigabyte air cooled cards are weird - they are the biggest but never have the best performance. You can look at the 2080ti, 3090, 4090 etc it don't matter - the gigabyte master is always huge, but only has middle of the pack performance.
I don't know what goes on at Gigabyte, but I suspect they don't have the best engineers

I suspect you might be right about their engineers but there again these cards are massive and cooling solutions are reaching their limits to get them in the case.

Wanted to upgrade my 970 at the end of last year but held out for the 50 series. I got a 4060 instead as a temp card but I'll probably get a 5080 as long as I'm able to and the damn bots don't buy everything within a few minutes. would have liked ocuk give forum members access in buying a 50 series card a few minutes earlier than others just to help against bots buying everything.

The founders edition 5090 is a 2 slot card, very small :)
