Still running my trusty 2070Super. It does handle most of my flat screen games just fine (thanks to DLSS) but I play AMS2 in VR and I have to set everything to low in order to maintain 90fps. I want to turn on the pretties :p

5080 will probably be my choice. Can't stomach the thought of the price for a 5090. I already find paying over a grand for GPU ridiculous.

I'm on a 2070 super, just upgraded to a 4k qdoled 240hz, I'll probably go 5080 or 70, depends on price and availability

Coming from a 3080FE it will likely be a 5080 for me. I only use my machine with triple 1440p screens for iRacing.

No immediate rush so will wait for benchmarks before making a decision.

Was thinking 5090 if it's $2k or less but my appetite for upgrading has been sated recently so I'm more ambivalent about it atm. Also got a lot of work to do in the first half of the year so it's likely I cba to get to it, which means that by the time I do upgrade I'll probably cheap out as usual.

Guess the biggest issue is really having a game to want to upgrade for. Don't see another Cyberpunk on the horizon for next year.

I originally wanted to get a 5080 but the 16gb vram has really put me off, especially since seeing how much Indiana jones uses. If the 5090’s are under 2k I might get one, if not I’ll wait for a 5080 super.

Got my bingo card ready:

"I can afford one, I just don't want one."

Wild assumptions about other's finances based on GPU purchase.

"For the price of that I could get (something totally unrelated)"

Ordered two :)

Mental gymnastics to justify purchase to internet nobodies.

Under the thumb posters-"I want one but the other half would kill me"

"I'll stick with my <potato> until they are £299"

Sour grapes posters having a temper tantrum because others are buying things they can't (but will insist they can, so why the sour grapes?)

"ha ha get the lube out"

@TNA falling off his chair when the inevitable flip-flop from @mrk happens

You forgot the, "I require one for work purposes".

Will get a 5090, as long as performance is 30% greater than a 4090. Will probably look to upgrade around March if it’s decent.

It's a maybe for me.

I'm thinking about selling my laptop and building a new desktop. Just holding out for new GPUs. The 5060 Ti is likely to be a significant upgrade over my 3070 Mobile, so depending on price it could be tempting.

So whose planning on getting one ?

Am not really that interested in one at the moment as my 4090 rans every game I have so far really well

It really only the DP 2.1 output I want to future proof myself a bit for when they bring out 4k OLED monitors with proper G-Sync & DP 2.1

Probably getting a 5090. Might go for a 5080 is the price is reasonable / if 5090 is priced too high. It’s a lot of money, isn’t it?

Would be upgrading from a 3090.

I might be tempted. I've never been a fan of Nvidia. Only ever had three Geforce cards and they all broke just after a year, yet my AMD, ATI and even my old Voodoo cards never had any issues, so I've been on team red for a while now but the 5700xt I've got has been a disappointment from the day I got it (ray tracing became a thing 5 seconds later and the 8GB VRAM isn't enough).
I will wait to compare the 3 companies offerings (yes I'll consider Intel too) and then see where I can get the most value and performance for around £500.
