Should be finally getting all my kit tomorrow to build my server :)

I've made a usb boot disk but need to just add my board drivers. Which drivers do I add? (vista/win 7?) I want to download the latest ones before I put them on. Do I also need to get the connector software or is that on the disc?

I'll be using the evaluation version of WHS to see how I get on. If I decide to buy it do I just insert the key code or will I have to re-install WHS again?

Got the rest of the week off so plan on (hopefully) getting everything up and running tomorrow and then the next couple of days tweaking!

WHS is based on Windows Server 2003, the connector software is part of the install.

Once setup you just browse to your machine:-

http://server:55000 (where server is the name of your WHS)

and setup from there.

Thanks for that. So does that mean I just need to install the drivers for Win 2003 and they'll work ok?

Yup, thats quite correct, I had to do a full re-install from the evqal version when I bought the full version.

Also you might want to check out www.wegotserved.com it's a useful place for WHS stuff.

Thanks Taff, already had a look there and done quite a bit of reading. Hopefully all my bits will now come early today so I can get cracking!

Hopefully my last question for now (but I doubt it), can I install the eval version I've downloaded and then use my key to activate it? Just wondering cos the eval version has PP3 on it whilst my bought copy only has PP1 so I'd have to download it (not sure how big the PPs are).
