Lo all,

I'm trying to spec an all-in-one HTPC/NAS and I was thinking of using WHS. However, as a Mac user primarily all of my media is iTunes based.

As such, I'd like to be able to run iTunes on this machine but I understand iTunes 9 and WHS don't get on easily.

So, can you 'Pool' multiple HDDs (necessary for the NAS side of things) in Windows 7 the way you can in WH?

Cheers for any ideas.

As far as I know that feature is just in WHS. You set up your own RAID either through Windows itself or via the motherboard if it supports it.

Hmmm, so there's no third party software that does the same thing?

I'm concerned about a RAID for a few reasons, the biggest being how inflexible a RAID is when adding additional hard drives. Also, adding a RAID card to the motherboard would be expensive and would take up a lot of space in a ITX sized case.

From the research I've done, the onboard RAID solutions don't seem to be very good either.
