Hi guys,

had WHS for a couple of months now, but I'm still having trouble setting up the remote access and webpage. After playing about with my router I finally have port forwarding working, verified in WHS by green ticks against everything including Router and Domain Name.

However, when I try to connect (through my network) I get a WHS page (Windows Home Server Website as the main title) with a small picture of a family (mother with camcorder at the front). The only other thing is a Logon button. I click this but get a message saying there's a problem with the website certification. The only option on the page is to close the website (recommended).

Any ideas???

I know nothing about WHS, but if its using SSL the certificate has to match the name you're accessing it with and be from a trusted authority - which costs money.

IE's error message will give you the option of continuing to the site. You can install the certificate on your PC so it wont prompt you again

WHS uses a Self Signed Cert, so the web browser does not trust it. Adding the WHS Site to the TRUSTED SITES allows IE to "trust" the certificate.
As Iaind already said a trusted authority certificate costs money!
